with 2018 Updates

Thursday, September 28  |  Noon-1:00 PM

Presenter: Gary Lucas, VP of Education Operations, Association for Rural Health Professional Coding

Description: A helpful printable tool will be provided to attendees as a webinar handout that outlines all updates, changes, and revisions to the ICD-10-CM code set.  We will highlight the role of too much dependence on software/EHRs to properly apply a diagnosis to a patient’s medical record and properly formatted claims.

A particular emphasis will be placed on the educational value of the “ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding & Reporting” located at the front of the physical ICD-10-CM manual but not in EHRs and how to use it to best educate clinical providers on ICD-10-CM documentation, coding, and billing. Participants will also receive a a pdf tool that gives all of the 2018 updates on a 4-5 page document.
