Welcome to the First organized in 1989, the Illinois Rural Health Association (IRHA) is a collaborative association comprised of hospitals, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Rural Health Clinics, public health departments, individual clinicians, educational institutions, students and elected officials, whose mission is to strengthen health systems for rural residents and communities through advocacy, education, networking and leadership. Illinois Rural Health Happenings The Illinois Department of Health & Family Services finally opened up applications to the long awaited implementation of the Rural Health Transformation Program. Many of the deadlines are Monday, June 9th at 5 pm and the grants will be awarded through various intermediaries.
